Elkader- Orville C. Stannard Jr., 71, died Wednesday, June 5, 1996, in Central Community Hospital after a brief illness. Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Leonard-Witt Funeral Home, Elkader. Burial: Mederville Cemetery, Mederville. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma; a son, Mark of Elkader; two daughters, Renee Suhr of Belmond and Rhonda Rottinghaus of Dunkerton; and two sisters, Catherine Walz of Elkader and Evelyn Wilker of Garnavillo.
