Oelwein Daily Register, Thur., 12 July 1945.
Strawberry Point- Funeral services were held today for Mrs. Martha Ann Debes, 89, who passed away at the Clint Debes residence Tuesday. Burial was in the Mederville Cemetery.
As Martha Ann Osborne, daughter of Elizabeth Bibble and Thomas Osborne, she was born at Oakville, Canada, on September 11, 1855. When she was seven they moved to Osborne. Her husband Albert Debes preceded her in death.
Survivors are a daughter; Mrs. Cora (Clint) Debes of Elkader; a brother, Thomas Osborne of Osborne, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Cochrane of Tacoma, Wash. and Mrs. Charles Sturm of Guttenberg, Iowa; and three grandchildren.
