Garnavillo- Arlyn A. Hempeler, 68, died Saturday at his son-in-law's farm, near Garnavillo, after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, St. Peter Lutheran Church. Burial: Garnavillo City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Lena; his mother, Melvina of Strawberry Point; four daughters, Ardith Anderegg of Guttenberg, Arlene Arp of Davenport, Audrey Hoth of Andrew and Annette Walther of Garnavillo; and two sisters, Jeanette Sprank of Bellevue and Joanne Venter of Monona.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren.
