Elgin Echo, Thur., 26 July 1956.

Mrs. Mabel Dill, age 74 years, died Thursday, July 19, at the St. Olaf nursing home. Funeral services were conducted at the Evangelical Reform Church at Elkader. Burial was at Mederville.

She is survived by four sons, Rudy and Ralph Possehl, Elkader, Alva Possehl of Salem, Ore., and Oscar Possehl of Cedar Rapids, also one brother, William Carpenter, Manchester.

Attending the funeral from Elgin were Mr. and Mrs. Norris Capper, and Mdms. Florence Baldwin, Mabel Gruver, Anna Schupbach, Bertha Lehman, Otto Blockhus, Ab West, Francis West, Hulda Sutter and Mary Allen.
