Funeral services were held October 13, 1:30 p.m., at the Schultz Funeral Home in Monona for Carl M. Schultz, 38, Luana. The Rev. Dick F. Harberts, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church, Postville, was in charge of the rites; burial was in Monona city cemetery.
Carl Marvin Schultz, 38, son of Carl J. and Margaret, nee Meier, Schultz of Luana, was born March 9, 1928, near Luana. He died suddenly at his home Monday morning, 6:30 a.m., October 13, from coronary heart disease, having reached the age of 38 years, seven months, and one day. He received his education in the Cherry Valley school, Franklin township, Allamakee county, and the Luana schools. He was baptized in the Presbyterian Church in 1929.
He was married to Elizabeth Leona Fish on June 5, 1955, at the Presbyterian church, Postville. They made their home in Monona where they have lived ever since. Two children were born to this union, Randy Lee, 9, and Susan Marie, 5.
The deceased was a mechanic by trade and worked in garages. He also did farm machinery work, trucking, garden work, and drove a school bus.
In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl John Schultz of Luana; a sister, Mary of Luana; two uncles, Emil and Harold Schultz of Postville; and a number of aunts and cousins. Preceding him in death was a sister, who died in infancy.
