August H. Meyer, age 69, passed away at his home Tuesday morning after an illness of several years with heart trouble. Last week Tuesday he was stricken with apoplexy and was unconscious until the time of his death. He leaves to mourn his widow, Mrs. August Meyer, one daughter, Mrs. H. H. Kruse of Lily, S.D., and three sons, Earven and Ben Meyer of Monona and August Meyer of Andover, S.D. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Evangelical Luth. church, the Rev. A. Daugs officiating. Interment was made in the City cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kruse and two younger children left Monday morning for their home at Lily, S.D., being called here by the death of her father, Mr. August Meyer at Monona.

Overbeck gathered at the Fred Kruse Sr., home last Sunday for a picnic dinner in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kruse and two children of Lily, South Dakota.
