Elkport- Verda Minne Wilhelmina Maier, 82, died Friday, April 26, 1996, in Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, after a brief illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday, Hope Lutheran Church, Littleport, where friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Monday. Intern Pastor Wayland Middendorf will officiate. Burial: Union Cemetery, rural Littleport. Arrangements are with Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader.

Survivors include five sisters, Pearl Waterman of rural Edgewood, Iona Schuety and Florence Ernst, both of Littleport, and Grace and Anna Mae Maier, both of rural Elkport; and three brothers, George Maier of Garber and Arthur Maier and Alvin Maier, both of rural Elkport.
