Strawberry Point- George Leland Beyer, 85, died Wednesday, March 8, 1995, in East Towne Care Center, Independence, after a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Anita Bane. Burial: Strawberry Point Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at Roberson Funeral Home.

Survivors include four sons, Randall of Wilsonville, Ore., Howard of Jesup, Arthur of Strawberry Point and David of Warsaw, Ind.; two daughters, Lois Finnigan of Independence and Gwendolyn Beyer of Minnetonka, Minn.; a brother, Eldon of Delhi; and two sisters, Clara Albrecht of Garner and Mabel Olson of Beaverton, Ore.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren.
