Samuel Waters, a veteran of the late Mexican war, died last Thursday after suffering a long time with cancer. The funeral occurred Saturday, Rev. McCord officiating.

Samuel Waters, veteran and respected citizen, died last Thursday at the age of seventy-three. He leaves a wife and one son. The funeral was held Saturday. Rev. J.W. McCord officiating.
