Rites Set For Monona Author.

Monona- Alfred Thiese, 55, a quadraplegic since he was injured in a farm accident in 1952, died Monday. He had been ill with flu.

His book, "Hope For The Stricken", concerning his experiences as a quadraplegic, was published last year.

Survivors include his wife, daughter, 3 sons, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Services: Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. His body is at the Schultz Funeral Home.
