Monona- Elsie Sawvell, 75, died Thursday in Central Community Hospital, Elkader, following a long illness. She and her husband farmed for many years in the Monona area until retiring in 1972.

Survivors include a brother, Freddie Nevermann of Monona.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday, St. Paul Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Schultz's.
