Progress Review, La Porte City, Black Hawk County, Iowa, Thur., 4 July 1963.

Mr. and Mrs. Arden Melcher and family attended the funeral services Tuesday for a nephew of Mr. Melcher, Norman Melcher, 20, of Monona, who was fatally injured Saturday, June 29th while cleaning out a cement mixer. Norman was employed by the Leas Construction Co. of Monona. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Melcher, one brother and a sister. Services were held at the Lutheran church at Monona with burial in the cemetery there.
