Marquette- Edna "Bonnie" Geraghty, 66, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997, in Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wis., after a five-year struggle with cancer. Memorial services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home, McGregor. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, McGregor.

Instead of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Mar-Mac Rescue Squad or Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospice.

She is survived by her Husband, William; a son, Steve (Nora) of Cascade; a daughter, Roxanne Myers of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandchildren, Chris (Alice) Breitbach of Dover, Tenn., Angi Breitbach of Denver, Colo., Matthew, Mitchell, Weston and Mason Geraghty of Cascade; three brothers, Harry (Jean) Kittle of La Mesa, Calif., Myles (Shirley) Kittle of Des Moines, Ray (Sandy) Kittle of Prairie du Chien; four sisters, Ruth (John) Hummel of Reasnor, Iowa, Florence Johnson of Des Moines, Earla (Tom) Saffeels of Chariton and Billie Egenberger of Marquette.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents.

Born May 16, 1930, in East St. Louis, Ill., to Earl and Alpha McCabe Kittle, she moved with her family in 1946 to Marquette, where she graduated from high school in 1948. On Sept. 4, 1948, she married William F. Geraghty in McGregor.

She was fond of her immediate and large extended family, and looked forward to frequent family reunions. Bonnie was also proud of her community. She was a member of the Marquette Action Club and served on a committee that established reunions for the Marquette school.
