Guttenberg- Mathias William "Bill" Hoefer, 77, died Monday, Nov. 28, 1994, in Guttenberg Municipal Hospital after a brief illness. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, by the Rev. Paul Peters. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, where there will be a wake service at 7 p.m. and Knight's of Columbus service at 7:15 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Frances Housman of Lewisburg, Pa., and Mary Rose Dordan of Coon Rapids, Minn.; a son, William of Garnavillo; four sisters, Wilhemina Hoefer of Garnavillo, Frances Tauke of Dyersville, Anna Mae Tauke of Luxemburg and Shirley Connor of Farmersburg.
