Milford friends have learned of the death of Leonard D. Daily, 68, of Rockford, Ill., which occurred there on Friday, Feb. 7. Mr. Daily, who had been in the insurance and real estate business in Rockford for 24 years, collapsed in the Central National Bank, and was dead on arrival at a hospital in that city.

Leonard Daily came to Milford from Leroy, Minn, as a young man, and was employed here in the First National Bank. He married Miss Chloe Meier, a teacher in the Milford school, August 2, 1916, and their children were born here. He was born Dec. 24, 1889, in Howard County, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Daily. He was a graduate of Valder Business College in Decorah, Iowa, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church of LaGrange, Ill., of the Shrine Scottish Rite, and the Masonic Blue Lodge of Milford.

Survivors are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Don Raap of Rockford; a son, Don, of Boulder, Colo.; six grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers.

Christian Science services were held Monday, Feb. 10, from the Burpee-Wood Funeral Home in Rockford.

NOTE: Leonard and Chloe Daily are buried in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Monona, Iowa. Chloe died in 1981.
