Elkport- William "Merlin" Rutledge, 88, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, in the Elkader Care Center after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Elkport, by the Rev. Tom Martin. Burial: Mount Harmony Cemetery, Garber. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, and after 10 a.m. at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Anna: three sons, Gary of Decorah, Kent of Brunswick, Ga., and Terry of Edgewood; two daughters, Jacklyn Meyer of Elkport and Julie Moody of Garber; three stepsons, Jerome Link of Farmersburg, John Link of Des Moines and Dennis Link; three stepdaughters, Karla Pearson of Stoddard, Wis., and Mary Eshelman and Linda Anderson, both of Des Moines.
