Cedar Rapids Gazette, 19 Sept. 1984.

Elkader- Sherry Soon Riniker, 5, was dead on arrival Monday afternoon at Central Community Hospital following a tractor accident at her rural home.

Survivors are her Parents, Richard and Shirley; her paternal grandfather, Art of Petersburg; and her maternal grandmother, Bernadette Smith of Dyersville.

Private services will be held Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Witt's, where a parish rosary will be recited at 8 tonight.

Cedar Rapids Gazette, Tue., 18 Sept. 1984. An article about farm accidents explains;

"According to the Clayton County Sheriff's Department, the girl was sitting on the left fender of the tractor driven by her father, Richard, when she fell off".
