St. Olaf-- Bernice F. Walters, 78, died Friday night, Dec. 6, 1996, in Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wis., after a long illness. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Garnavillo, by the Rev. Gary Hatcher. Burial: 1:30 p.m. Monday, Pleasant Grove Cemetery, McGregor. Friends may call today at Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader, and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.

Survivors include a son, Forrest of McGregor; a daughter, Fara Wayne Tayek of Monona; and a sister, Bernita McMillin of Prairie du Chien, Wis.
