Quinn, Mary L. 1872 - 1968

Strawberry Point-- Services were held Thursday, Feb. 15, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church for Mrs. Mary L. Quinn, age 95, Strawberry Point, who died at her home Tuesday, Feb. 13, after a brief illness. She had been a Strawberry Point resident for the past 40 years. The Rev. Claude B. Norton officiated, with the Feeney-Knutson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The rosary was recited at 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at the Feeney-Knutson chapel. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery.

The daughter of John and Julia Leonard O'Brien, Mary L. O'Brien Quinn was born April 2, 1872 at rural Elkader. She and Pete Quinn were married April 4, 1893 at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Elkader. Mrs. Quinn was a member of the Catholic church and of the Royal Neighbors of America.

Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Irene Bauldridge, Strawberry Point; Bernice Quinn, Washington, D.C.; three sons, Ed Quinn, Vallejo, Calif.; Virgil Quinn, Elkader; and Val J. Quinn, Shreveport, La.

Preceding her in death were her husband, a daughter, and a son.
