Strawberry Point-- Funeral services for James A. Henry, Sr., 72, are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at St. Mary's Catholic church in Strawberry Point.
Mr. Henry died Saturday in Tampa, Fla., where he lived in recent years following his retirement. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
Mr. Henry was born near Strawberry Point on Oct. 12, 1888. On Dec. 26, 1912, he was married to Laura Belle Carpenter of Strawberry Point and the couple farmed in this area until he accepted a position with the Milwaukee railroad. He served as a foreman for the railroad working out of various cities such as Savanna, Ill., and Milwaukee, Wis., until his retirement.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. E. B. (Katherine) Reese of Elmhurst, Ill.; and two sons, John Michael Henry of Detroit, Mich., and James Henry, Jr., of San Antonio, Tex. His wife died in November of 1953.
