Francis Joseph Kister, 56, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 1997, in Prairie du Chien Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wis., after a sudden illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, by the Rev. Richard Gaul. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo, where a wake service begins at 7 p.m.

There are no immediate survivors.
