Phyllis J. Morarend, 70, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, in Guttenberg Municipal Hospital, Guttenberg, after a brief illness. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, St. John Lutheran Church, Guttenberg, by the Rev. Harold McMillan. Burial: Guttenberg City Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. today and 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Veryl; a daughter, Pat Jones of Guttenberg; a son, Tom of Manchester; two sisters, Joanne Finch and Eloise Lammers, both of Guttenberg; four brothers, F. Jerome Moser of Garber, Lawrence Moser of Edgewood, Lowell Moser of Colesburg, and Nathan Moser of Guttenberg; and her stepmother, Winnifred Moser of Guttenberg.
