Mrs. August Ahlstrom
Mrs. Pixler's Mother Passes
Mrs. Ralph Pixler's mother, Mrs. August Ahlstrom, 88, passed away Sunday at Minneapolis and the remains arrived in Postville Monday where Louis Schutte had charge of the arrangements for the funeral which was held Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church at Lansing, the home of the deceased.
Postville Herald newspaper clipping from my mother's obituary collection.
Submitter's note: This small paragraph was on the bottom of the obituary of Mrs. Maie Pixler's obituary that my mother had clipped and saved. Mrs. Maie Pixler's obituary was hand dated Feb. 11, 1946. This date, I assume, applies to Mrs. Ahlstrom also as it is one piece of newspaper paper. It is not cut and pasted together. Mrs. Ralph Pixler lived in West Union at the time of Mrs. Maie Pixler's death. Mrs. Maie Pixler was Mrs. Ralph Pixler's mother-in-law. Also, I am not related and have no further information.
