Henry S. Adney
Henry S. Adney died in Yuma, Arizona on January 23, 1988. Mr. Adney was cremated. The remains were buried Wednesday, February 10 at Council Hill Cemetery, rural McGregor. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona was in charge of arrangements.
He was born January 6, 1915, at McGregor to parents Arthur and Edna Love Adney. He received his education in Pleasant Ridge School.
December 22, 1932 Henry married Violet Wilkins at Waukon. The couple had 3 children. He farmed in the Monona area and Bridgeport, Wisconsin. He worked for Harnisferger Corp. from 1959 to 1974 in Cedar Rapids. He retired in 1974.
Surviving is his wife, Violet of Garnavillo; son, Delbert, Tipton; 2 daughters; Marcella Staskal, Baldwin and Patricia Bouzek, Cedar Rapids; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Archie, McGregor and Charles, Berryville, Arkansas; 3 sisters, Rose Niewoehner, Dickson, Tennessee, Bertha Albers, Thornton, Iowa and Clara Schellsmidt, Lansing.
