Waterloo Daily Courier, Tue., 24 November 1953.

Dundee--- Mrs. Kate Schroeder, 74, died here Monday night at the home of her son, Earl, of complications of age.

She was born Dec. 16, 1878, at Strawberry Point, daughter of Myron and Bessie (Gilbert) Knight. She was married to Ernest Schroeder in July, 1903.

Mrs. Schroeder was a graduate of Upper Iowa University at Fayette and a member of the Christian church.

Survivors besides her son are three grandchildren and three brothers, John, Will and Earl Knight, all of Strawberry Point.

She was preceded by her husband, parents, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Gill funeral home at Strawberry Point. Burial will be in Strawberry Point cemetery.
