Last Saurday a little son of Hon. Reuben Noble started out with a gun to go hunting, and by some kind of accident that we have not heard explained, discharged its contents into himself, and, it is reported, was immediately killed.
Mr. Noble was in McGregor at the time, his residence being a few miles out, and had just got aboard of the steamer to come to Dubuque. The boat was just shoving off, when a man came rushing down the levee at breat-neck speed, signaled the boat, and informed Mr. Noble of the sad casualty. He was at once landed and returned home.
The many friends of Mr. Noble will learn of his affliction with much regret, and all will extend to him their heartfelt sympathy. during his canvass he made many warm friends among those who had never known him before, and the whole public, we are sure, will learn of his affliction with sorrow.
