Leo B. Walther, 84, died Tuesday, April 16, 1996, in Elkader Care Center after a brief illness. Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Peace United Church of Christ, by Rev. Lance Bentley. Private committal services will be held at a later date in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader, and after 1 p.m. Friday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Fern; and two daughters. Lynne Meyers of Mason City and Lee Kordus of Milwaukee.

A memorial fund has been established.
