Strawberry Point, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Hoyer, 45, who died Saturday at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein of pneumonia, were held here Tuesday afternoon at Gill's Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. M.O. Jahr, pastor of Emmanuels Lutheran Church. Burial was in Strawberry Point Cemetery.

As Marie Sophie Grimm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Grimm, she was born at Delhi on Dec. 20, 1893. She married Carl Royer (sic) June 25, 1913.

Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Helene and Vivian, both at home; one sister, Mrs. Emma Broers of near Dundee; four brothers, Will Grimm of Strawberry Point, Herman of Lamont, August of Dundee, and Frank of Faribault, Minn.
