Alice Dull
Funeral services for Alice Dull were held Saturday, January 9, 1993, 1:30 p.m. at the Garden City United Methodist Church in Monona. Pastor Gary Dobbins officiated. Organist was Priscilla Miene. Pallbearers were grandchildren, Jeanie Dye, Colleen Dull, Stan Dull, Dave Dull, Brad Dull, Sheila Amann, Steve Marovets, Rita Dull, Donnie Dull, and Ronnie Marovets. Burial was in the Monona City Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home of Monona was in charge of services.
Alice Effie Dull, the daughter of Absalom and Mary (Scheid) Ames, was born May 30, 1903, in Wisconsin. Her family moved to the Monona area when she was a child.
Alice was united in marriage to Page Dull on April 11, 1923 at Waukon. The couple farmed in the Monona area, retiring in 1947, at which time they moved to Monona.
Alice died Wednesday, January 6, 1993 at the Good Samaritan Center in Postville, where she had been a resident since July 21, 1989. She was a member of the Garden City United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Page, who died June 8, 1976; one granddaughter; one grandson; seven brothers: Charles, Floyd, Amos, Veranus, Austin, Orrin, and Miles; and five sisters, Jane Pleasy, Mae Louise Jones, Tressa Martha Koth, Iva Snitker, and Agnes Wolter.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Eugene and Georgia of Falls Church, VA, and Robert and Henrietta of Postville; a daughter, Susann and her husband, John Little, of Yankton, SD; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
