Strawberry Point, Ia. - William J. Byrnes, 84, died suddenly at his home Wednesday evening. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Byrnes, born Feb. 20, 1860, in Clayton County, and spent his entire life in the community, farming before moving to Strawberry Point. Surviving is one sister, Miss Mary Byrnes. He never married.

Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9:30 at St. Mary's Church in charge of Rev. P.J. Boyle. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
