Guttenberg, Ia. - Funeral services for Fred Herman, 60, who died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Fred Wolfe, following a long illness, were conducted at St. Paul's Lutheran Church here by the Rev. H.C. Coovert, pastor. Pallbearers were: H.B. Eilers, George Wolter, Harley Kipper, Joe Meyer, Henry Tackman, and William Anderegg.

Born in Guttenberg on March 14, 1880, Mr. Herman had lived in Guttenberg all his life. He never married. He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Fred Wolfe of Guttenberg, Mrs. Emol Kurtz of Dubuque, Mrs. Marry Rhodas of Elkport, and Mrs. Charles Hildebrand of Prairie du Chien, Wis.
