Monona, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. Ray Egbert, 57, were held at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church here Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. H.W. Siefkes, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Harold T. Orr, Dr. R. Jasmann, Eugene Kleinpell, Willis Bernhard, Arno Oelke, and Eugene Russell.
As Wilhelmina Pauline Benz, she was born at Gibson City, Ill., on Nov. 4, 1882. She later moved with her parents to Melvin and on March 10, 1920 she was married to Ray Egbert at Waterloo. For 10 years they made their home at Le Mars, then moving to Monona.
Mrs. Egbet was taken ill in January. She died Sunday. She was a member of the Sewing Circle of the Lutheran Church and of the Royal Neighbors lodge.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Irene Hogdon of Long Beach, Calif.; four brothers, Ernest, William, and Henry Benz, all of Melvin, and Dr. A.J. Benz of Chicago; and three sisters, Mrs. Robert Nonneman of Melvin, Mrs. Ida Hauber of Spencer, and Mrs. Edward Richter of Reinbeck.
