Elgin Echo, Thursday, 16 August 1894.

Mrs. Geo. W. Cadwell (Adaline Ely) died at her home in Strawberry Point Saturday Aug. 4, and was buried at that place Sunday the 5th.

Mrs. Cadwell was a sister of our townsman A. Ely and was born in Oneida county, N.Y., in 1839, therefore being 55 years old at the time of her death. She and her husband moved to Strawberry Point in 1855 and have been residents of that place ever since. Mrs. Cadwell was much loved and respected by all her neighbors and acquaintances. A. Ely and wife of this city attended the funeral.
