Chapin, March 5 - Funeral services for William Emerson Crawford were held here at the Methodist church Monday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. J.E. Pritchard. Mr. Crawford was born May 2, 1857, near MacGregor (sic - McGregor), and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. T.T. Spainhower on Feb. 28. Mrs. Crawford died two years ago. Since that time Mr. Crawford has been cared for by his children living near here.

He has been an invalid for some years and has been in a wheel chair since the death of his wife. Burial was made in the old Chapin cemetery.
