Postville Review, November, 1881.

We are pained to learn of the sudden death of John Mundt, at Sioux Falls recently. John used to clerk for Leithold Bros. here, and afterwards for Jarret & ??????, McGregor. This fall he made a lucrative engagement with a Sioux Falls firm and entered upon his duties. He was soon taken sick with typhoid fever and died in a week. His remains were taken to Giard for interment. He was a fine and promising young man and it seems hard that he should be cut down so early.
