Elkader - Mrs. Elizabeth A. Hughes, a long-time area resident, died Tuesday at the Veterans Hospital in Waukon. She was 93.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Elkader, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Witt Funeral home, Elkader, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Genevieve Heiden of Elkader.
