Milton Beck, 23, son of D.E. Beck, a farmer living near Elkport, was drowned while swimming in the Volga river between Mederville and Volga City, shortly before 9 o'clock Friday night. The body was recovered within a few minutes.

~burial records show that he is buried in Mt. Harmony cemetery, Elk twp.
