The remains of Howard David Taylor were brot (sic) here Monday morning from Syracuse, New York, and taken to the Volga City cemetery for burial where short services where held. The deceased was born in Tentonville, Chautauqua County, N.Y., on March 14, 1851, and passed away at Syracuse, N.Y., March 29, 1919. He came to the vicinity of Arlington when but fourteen years of age, having spent most of his life near here and at Volga City, when he was engaged in the milling business for a number of years. During the past eighteen months prior to the ending of the war he was employed in a munition factory at Syracuse. His death was caused by a paralytic stroke while visiting at the home of a relative near that city. He is survived by his wife and five children; Mary Ingram of Elkader, Luther Taylor of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Bessie Door, of Elkader, Orick Taylor, of Seattle, Wash. and Eva Taylor of Volga City.
