John W. Schaub
 
John W. Schaub, 83, died after a lingering illness on March 5, 1974. He had been born on May 30, 1890 in Volga Township, Clayton County. His mother's maiden name was Minnie Neibecker.

Funeral services were held from St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garnavillo, L. C. Urlaub, officiating. Pallbearers were A. J. Hempeler, Elmer Dickman, John Meyer, Henry Thein, Alto Rodas and Charles Thurber. Burial was in the City Cemetery. Friday, March 8, 1974, was the date of the services.

Mr. Schaub was a retired farmer, a former Garnavillo resident and a resident of Riverview Care Center in Guttenberg for 5 1/2 years.
