BORCHERDING DIES AFTER ACCIDENT

Arthur Borcherding, 61, rural Luana, died Saturday in Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, Wisconsin, of injuries received in an auto accident Friday about 6:30 p.m., on Iowa 76 about five miles south of Waukon.

Borcherding reportedly had stopped for a stop sign while going south on a county gravel road, then pulled onto the highway. A semi going east on the highway struck the Borcherding car.

Passengers in the car included Mrs. Borcherding and grandsons Charles, Clifford, Carlton and Chad Tryon. None of the other passengers or the truck driver were seriously injured.
