Monday, June 25th, at 8 p.m., occured the death of Adam Tuecke. The deceased, a son of John Tuecke and wife Maria, nee Walke, was born the 18th of September 1849, near Ceres. On Feb. 27, 1872, he was married to Catherine Marie Schroeder. Seven children, four boys and three girls, blessed their home, one boy dying while yet in his youth. With the rest of the family he has been living for many years past on a farm several miles north of town. He enjoyed good health until two years ago when he was afflicted with kidney trouble which later developed into dropsy, which disease caused his death. He was a devoted husband, a kind and loving father, honest to everyone with whom he had dealings and takes with him the esteem of all his acquaintances. The family, a brother, two sisters and a vast number of relatives and friends survive to mourn his loss. The funeral took place last week Thursday at 1 o'clock, Rev. Sommerlad conducting the services.
