Died - At her home in Hardin, Iowa, Mary Pearson, aged eighty-five years, nine months and twenty-six days.

The deceased was born in the state of Delaware, where she lived until 1817 when she was married to Rev. Richard Lyon, who was a member of the Philadelphia conference of the M.E. church.

Mr. Lyon died in 1822, and in 1823 she was married to Richard Pearson, and resided in her native state until 1829, when, with her husband and family, she moved to Pennsylvania, from whence they moved to Ohio in 1832, and in 1838 they came to Clayton county, Iowa, where they have ever since remained, until last Thursday, when God called her to rest. For the last few months, especially, she felt resigned to God's will, and died in hope of heaven.

She has a husband and four sons to mourn her departure. She was buried from the M.E. church in Hardin on Sunday, the writer conducting the services. C.H.T.
