Henry J. SCHULTZ was born in Germany, May 6th, 1851, and died in Postville, May 25th. He came to America in 1869, and resided with Mr. Charles SCHULTZ, an old settler of Clayton Co. He was married Feb. 28, 1878 to Mrs. BANDER, nee Mina FREIDAG. He lived in Clayton Co. until the fall of 1885, when he came to Postville. He leaves 5 sons and 1 daughter.

Henry J. Schultz 1851-1891

Henry J. Schultz was born in Germany, May 6th 1851, and died in Postville, May 25th. He came to America in 1869, and resided with Mr. Charles Schultz, an old settler of Clayton Co. He was married Feb. 28, 1878 to Mrs. Bauder, nee Mina Freidag. He lived in Clayton Co. until the fall of 1885 (five was hard to read could be something else) when he came to Postville, where he lived until his death. He leaves five sons and one daughter.

Note: Records of Phyllis Peterson indicate that Henry died at Postville on 25 Mar 1891, when a tree accidentally fell on him. He was buried at the Postville Cemetery on 27 May 1891. Thank you for that information, Phyllis.
