Monona lost one of its oldest and most highly esteemed residents the past week in the death of Mrs. Mary Randall, an aunt of our townsman, Jas. Gregg. Mrs. Randall was a native of Canada, 71 years old, and had lived in Monona for almost fifty years. Four children survive her. The funeral occured on Tuesday and was largely attended by friends of the bereaved family.

~Notes: Mrs. Randall is buried in the Monona City cemetery. She was first married to John W. Zimmerman on 4/12/1848 (Clayton co. Marriages Vol 1, pg 20). After his death, she married R.W. Randall. For additional info. see the obit of R.W. Randall (click the link below).
