Charles City - funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Elkport for Herman G. Kuehl, 84, father of Mrs. Charles Meusel, Charles City. He died at his home in Thompson, where he had lived the last 25 years. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery at Elkport with the Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City, in charge.

Kuehl had been in the produce business in the Thompson area many years and had served as justice of the peace after his retirement. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Meusel and Mrs. Alma Reko, Des Moines; three brothers, John, Elkport; William, Oelwein; and Henry, Elkader; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His wife, three sisters, and a brother preceded him in death.
