Mrs. A. E. Rowell passed away about eleven o'clock Wednesday forenoon, at the age of 44 years. She had been in poor health since August and this last attack of peritonitis was too much for he weakened condition. The funeral occurred Friday afternoon from their home, burial in the Lutheran cemetery. Rev. Morrow of Monona was the pastor. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Clark, and two sisters, Mrs. Harry Olson of McGregor and Mrs. Fred P. Haffa of Luana.

Mr. and Mrs. Dave Dickson and son Archie of Waukon, H.O. Perkins of Oelwein, Mr. and Mrs. Paul of Arlington and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller of Algona came Friday to attend the funeral of Mrs. A.E. Rowell.

Nellie Anetta Rowell was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Clark of Luana. She was born in Allamakee county on September 9, 1882, and after a brief attack of peritonitis passed away at her home on November 17, 1926. Her entire life was lived within a short distance of Luana, and since her marriage to Allen E. Rowell on March 11, 1908, she has lived in the town of Luana. A few years ago she confessed her faith in Christ and was baptized. Since she was a girl she has worked in the Methodist church.

Hers was a quiet and gentle nature, tireless in her efforts to do for others, and devoted to her home and her parents. Out of life she garnered joy and happiness, and her last words were expressive of this joy.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Clark, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Haffa, all living in Luana; and a sister Mrs. H. Olson, of McGregor, Iowa.

Funeral services were held in the home on November 19, conducted by Rev. H. Morrow, Burial was made in Luana cemetery.
