Dolores Kathleen Burlingame

Dolores Kathleen Burlingame, 76, of Prairie Du Chien, Wis., formerly of Elkader, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 1995, in her home after a sudden illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Peace United Church of Christ, by the Rev. Lance Bentley. Burial: Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Clayton Center. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader, and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Edward; and a daughter, Rena Malek of Dubuque.

Funeral services were held for Dolores Kathleen Burlingame, 76, Tuesday, Sept. 19, 1995, at Peace United Church of Christ, Elkader, Rev. Lance A. Bentley officiated the service with burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Clayton Center. Pallbearers were Jay Malek, Troy Malek, Timothy Malek, Carl Hakert, John Miehe and John Nagel Jr.

Dolores Kathleen, daughter of Gustav and Minnie (Kluth) Sabbann, was born January 4, 1919, at Elkader, Iowa. She graduated from school in Elkader. She married Eldo L. Meyer April 9, 1939. Three children were born to this union. They spent their married life together in Elkader. Eldo died November 9, 1961. Dolores married Harold E. Miller May 10, 1969. He died just three years later on May 6, 1972. She married Ed Burlingame July 3, 1974. At this time they made their home in Prairie du Chien, Wis., where they have remained. While living in Elkader, she was a member of Peace United Church of Christ. Dolores died suddenly at her home Saturday, Sept. 16, 1995.

Survivors include her husband Edward of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; a daughter, Rena (Mrs. James) Malek of Dubuque; two grandsons, Jay and Troy Malek of Dubuque.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter Judith Louise Meyer in 1949, a son Lee William Meyer in 1967, a sister Rosalyn Smith, and her parents.
