Services for Clyde L Clough, 86, 3256 Hillcrest Road, Will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Egelhof-Casper-Strueber Funeral Home, 1145 Locust St.
Burial will be Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Clough worked at the Savanna Army Depot during World War II and was a truck driver for the city of Dubuque for 22 years, retiring in 1973.
He was born on Sept. 2, 1907, at Elkader, Iowa, son of Harvey and Charlotte (Pratt) Clough. He died at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 1994, at Finley Hospital.
He married Alice Hultgren on July 12, 1929, at Postville, Iowa.
He played softball for many years and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Surviving are his wife, Alice Hultgren; a son, Duane (Donna) Clough, of Dubuque; three daughters, LaVonne (Eugene) Thurston, of Sacramento, Calif., Sharon (David) Jaeger and Janice (Allen) Freese, both of Dubuque; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; a brother Lloy “Sport” Clough of Benton, Wisc.; and a sister, Viola Blue, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
A Clyde L Clough Memorial Fund has been established.
