*Corrections (from Connie Ellis) to Vella's obit:Vella was NOT one of the twin daughters born to William and Matilda "Tillie" (Sebastian) Meyer. She was the first child born to William and Tillie. The twin daughters were Irene and Eileen, who were born in 1914. When I was transcribing Vella's obituary, I did NOT think that it sounded right about her being a twin. It made more sense for Irene and Eileen to be the twins. However, the newspaper clipping stated Vella and Irene. After I posted Vella's obituary, I went to the Allamakee County Obituary board and Irene and Eileen's obituaries are posted. Based on their birthdates and information given, their obituaries substantiate the fact that they are indeed the twin daughters. Connie Ellis
