John J. Preitaner [Preitauer] died at his home, 140 Catharine street, at 9:10 o'clock Thursday evening, aged 28 years. Deceased was born at Strawberry Point, Iowa, and for some time was a photographer in the employ of Mr. Nicholas Lenz. He had been ill more or less for the past four years with heart disease, but for the past two week had been confined to his bed. He suffered very much during his illness but bore all without a murmur. He was a very popular young man and well liked by a large circle of friends who will regret his untimely death. He was unmarried and is survived by his mother, three brothers and three sisters. Mr. Preitauer was a consistent member of the Lutheran church and the funeral will take place at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The interment will be in St. John's Lutheran cemetery.
